What the CQC rating tells you

In England, the Care Quality Commission independently inspects most healthcare and adult social care services and rates them Outstanding, Good, Requires improvement or Inadequate. Some services — many opticians, pharmacies and complementary therapists — are regulated by other bodies (GOC, GPhC and others) rather than the CQC, so the absence of a CQC rating is not always a concern.
